Head of Procurement Excellence (m/f/d)

Responsibilities
Exciting opportunities await you – As Head of Procurement Excellence, your task will be the methodical, strategic and systemic development of ALTANA's procurement organization. In addition, you will also be responsible for all sustainability and regulatory topics in procurement across ALTANA (e.g. LkSG, CO₂ reporting). Your other tasks include:
- Responsibility for the global category management process in a matrix organization and its further development with the global procurement community
- Direct leadership of 6 employees
- Optimization, digitization and automation of procurement processes, with a view to increasing efficiency
- Development and establishment of the supplier management (approval, qualification, development and auditing) with a special focus on supply risks
- Responsibility for the risk management in procurement
- Implementation of the ALTANA forecast for the global raw materials portfolio
- Conception and organization of procurement trainings
- Organization of the ALTANA-wide cross-divisional target setting process in procurement with KPI development / reporting / planning process and performance / procurement controlling
- Development of procurement engineering with global sourcing, value chain engineering and market and supplier analyses

Requirements
With this profile, you convince us – If you are implementation- and results-oriented and bring extensive experience in procurement within manufacturing companies, preferably in the chemical industry and international project management, we are interested in you. You should also possess experience with sustainability and regulatory topics in procurement. Your other skills and competencies include:
- Completed master's / diploma or bachelor's degree in the field of economics, engineering, chemistry or similar
- Experience with procurement controlling or forecasting
- Good process understanding in purchasing
- Experience with process optimization and the implementation of new procurement processes
- Leadership experience is an advantage
- Very good English skills (spoken and written)
- Willingness to travel is desirable
- Strong organizational understanding with a service / stakeholder orientation
- Excellent communication skills at different hierarchical levels
